Harbour Cruises
Harbour Cruises is one of Vanouver's favourite boat sightseeing option. They offer tour options such as the original sunset dinner cruise, tours of Vancouver's inner harbour, and an Indian arm luncheon cruise.

Capilano Suspension Bridge

The Suspension Bridge spans 450 feet across and 230 feet above North Vancouver's spectacular Capilano River. But don't worry, even though it sways and creaks, it's very, very strong. Strong enough to support the weight of ten heavy-duty military fighter planes. Strong enough to handle the 850,000 visitors each year. Even strong enough to handle a classroom full of kindergarten students! Walking across the Bridge, you will cross over Capilano River and enter the spectacular "wild side" which features the Living Forest display.

CN IMAX Theatre at Canada Place

Vancouver's CN IMAX Theatre uses IMAX technology to deliver a variety of films on a giant screen.   The screen extends beyond your peripheral vision, giving the audience a sense of being right in the middle of the action.  The screen is about eight stories high, large enough that a whale will appear life-size.

In addition to the giant screen, Vancouver's IMAX theatre uses some 40 speakers, concealed behind the screen panels, to further make the audience feel like they are part of the action.

Stanley Park

Chinatown Vancouver

This is North America's second biggest Chinatown, after San Francisco's. Mandarin and Cantonese are the mother tongues in 30 per cent of Vancouver homes, which makes Chinese the largest "minority" ethnic group. Queen Elizabeth Park

Queen Elizabeth Park occupies the site of a former quarry, and is located at one of the highest points in the city. It has splendid views of the city, sea and mountains.

The real attractions, however, are the carefully manicured gardens. Flower beds burst with colour, the grass is tidily mown, and a small stream falls down a waterfall and gently trickles under a picturesque bridge, often occupied by newlyweds having their picture taken.

BC Place Stadium

BC Place Stadium is Canada's first domed stadium and is the largest air-supported stadium in the world. It is located on the north side of False Creek in Vancouver, British Columbia, and home to the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League and the region's largest consumer shows, trade shows and special events. It is owned and operated by PavCo (BC Pavilion Corporation), a Crown Corporation of the government in the Province of British Columbia. BC Place is to be the host of the opening and closing ceremonies for the 2010 Winter Olympic games.

Plaza of Nations

The Plaza of Nations was the heart of the 203-acre 1986 World Exposition in Vancouver. Expo '86 featured fifty-two participating nations, provinces, territories, and states, and the Fair attracted more than 22 million visitors from around the globe over 5 months, firmly establishing Vancouver as a world-class city. Originally built by the provincial government, the Plaza of Nations has been privately owned since 1990.

Whistler Blackcomb Mountains

Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, rise up a mile out of the valley with 5,280 vertical feet and more than 8,100 acres of prime terrain. They have 12 alpine bowls, three glaciers and more than 200 marked trails. Average annual snowfall is 360 inches. Whistler/Blackcomb will host a variety of events for the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Mount Seymour Provincial Park

The park is located on Mount Seymour Road just north of the parkway, 15 km north of Vancouver, just off of Hwy 1 in North Vancouver. Outside of the ski centre, this is a wilderness area just 30 minutes from Vancouver. The park is diverse in its topography, so a wide array of recreational activities are possible. In total the park encompasses 3,508 hectares.

Cypress Mountain

Cypress Mountain is a ski area in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, located in the southern section of Cypress Provincial Park. The ski resort is just a short 20 minutes drive north of Vancouver, and has 51 named alpine ski runs (many accessible for night skiing) and 19 km cross country tracks. Snowshoeing tours are also popular.
